01
Overview
myValU is a student, teacher, and youth benefits app connected with ISIC, ITIC, and IYTC cardholders. The app helps users activate their cards, access a secure wallet experience, use prepaid card services, and discover curated discounts across food, accommodation, electronics, education, travel, lifestyle, fitness, healthcare, and more.
The product focuses on making student benefits easier to access through one mobile app.

My Role
I was the sole iOS developer on the app, responsible for the full mobile experience across onboarding, card-related flows, wallet access, and discount discovery. My role involved implementing screens, connecting app flows with backend APIs, handling user journeys, and supporting the App Store release experience.
The work required translating a benefits-heavy product into a mobile experience that felt simple for users who may be activating cards or using digital services for the first time.

Challenges
The app had multiple user journeys connected to cards, benefits, wallet access, and discounts. A key challenge was keeping the experience understandable while dealing with different user types and product flows.
Another challenge was making API-driven screens feel smooth and reliable, especially for flows where users expect clear status, confirmation, and next steps.

What I Learned
myValU helped me improve at building structured onboarding and service-driven mobile flows. I learned how important clarity is when an app deals with account setup, card activation, wallet access, and benefit discovery. It also gave me stronger experience working with UIKit and REST API-based product flows.
